Universal Music Norway recording artist O-Bee (Omer Bhatti) has announced that he is currently working on his debut EP, Rise Above. His first single, “Life Is a Movie” premiered on Norway’s biggest online news channel late this summer, and his promo song “All Around the World” landed on the Norwegian iTunes Top 10 charts. Although he has been traveling and entertaining the world since childhood, O-Bee is stepping out into his own with the release of Rise Above.
Partially raised in Norway, O-Bee demonstrated an interest in music and dance from an early age, as his mother exposed him to soul music. At the tender age of seven, O-Bee learned to dance and showed a phenomenal natural proclivity that gave way to his appearances in stage shows by the time he turned eight years old. From that point on, O-Bee’s childhood was forever changed as he began touring nearly every weekend with dance shows for the next few years. He also performed on TV shows as a solo dancer and entertainer. The success of his initial efforts in the entertainment industry led O-Bee to be discovered by world-renowned entertainer Michael Jackson. As O-Bee’s mentor, Jackson taught him the art of dance and entertainment, leading to the creation of O-Bee’s own brand of unique choreography. “He raised me and made me the person I am today,” says O-Bee of Jackson, with whom he toured the world.
Already well known throughout Norway for his extraordinary dance and entertainment talents, O-Bee is poised to impress the world with his stunning moves and vocals that are featured in the “Life Is a Movie” music video. The video, which is dedicated to Michael Jackson, is reminiscent of O-Bee’s mentor, and his influence over O-Bee’s style is a constant, palpable presence throughout.
